Social Media Coordinator

Quick Overview:

  • Contract position (up to 30 hours/week) to start with the goal of moving towards full time. 

  • This will be a position in social media for our 360-marketing firm, ngagency, and will work primarily in the music space. 

  • Ngagency - 360 digital marketing agency that works in Web3, Music, and Entertainment with specialties in social media, community management, brand partnerships, public relations, and digital strategy/consulting. 

  • We have a diverse client roster including Barenaked Ladies, Govt. Mule, Command Sisters, Equal Vision Records, 300 Entertainment, Underoath, and Foxy Shazam among others. 

  • This role will be remote and is open to candidates in the United States and Canada. 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Social Media Calendar Creation and Implementation - We organize a weekly calendar for each of our social media clients. The person in this role will help to organize what content will be included in this calendar on what day, and key aspects of each post such as copy, hashtags, and which platforms each piece of content will go up on. 

  • Direct Posting for Clients - For some of our clients, we actually directly post on their behalf. This role will be the one doing so on several accounts. Some situations this will be posting logged in as the artists and others will be scheduling posts through Hootsuite. 

  • Social Media Strategy - This aspect of the role will require the candidate to stay up-to-date on best practices across a variety of social media platforms. It will also require a knowledge of the band and their demographic to ensure we are playing to their strengths and setting the client up to grow their following. 

  • Project Management - While you will work on a team around each client, there will be a degree of client interaction. This will come into play through getting approvals from clients on copy/posts, ensuring that we have any assets needed to post ahead of time, suggesting process improvements, and many times being a part of a weekly client call as well as our internal calls. We will also need this person to be comfortable requesting asset creation from our in-house designer. 

  • Content Ideation - Our goal is always to ensure that our clients’ social media presence is engaging for fans and encourages people to interact with these accounts. In this role, you will help in the ideation around content - including recurring series and one off posts centered around trending moments or promoting focal content such as new songs, tours, or albums. 

  • Sending Weekly Analytics Reports - Each Friday, we send a report to each of our clients tracking their growth across the key social media platforms. This role will be required to help pull those statistics and analyze the data in order to identify key trends and opportunities we are seeing in the numbers. 

  • Help Organizing Social Media Events (i.e - Twitter Spaces, IG Lives, Discord AMAs) - Going “live” has become increasingly important for social media. This role will be part of a team that helps to create a scenario for certain clients to make the most of these opportunities. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 2+ year experience in the social media space, ideally within the music industry. 

  • Able to implement creative calls-to-action in order to convert social media traffic to engaged fans of a project. 

  • Highly interested in driving the analytics of our campaigns. 

  • Able to identify target demographics for each project, including problem/gap areas. 

  • Adept at research. 

  • Thorough attention to detail and superb organizational skills. The role will require considerable communication and asset gathering in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Extensive knowledge of Discord, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit. 

  • Must have experience with, or willingness to utilize organizational platforms that we currently use. This includes Google Drive, Hootsuite, WhatsApp, Asana, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, and google mail. Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.

  • Has a solid eye for aesthetic and interest in knowing “what’s next” in terms of social media. 

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Passion for learning and a desire to work towards an increased role in the company. 

This position is an opportunity to work with a quickly growing marketing agency.
