Age of Empires III Tournament Series
The Age of the Summer Empire is here!!!
Attention Brave Conquerors! The summer is in full swing, and its the perfect time to amass your armies, and do battle for glory, pride and the spoils of war. During the first two weeks of August, N-Gage and Glu will be hosting some Age of Empires III tournaments and other fun events around the game in the N-Gage community forums. Pick up your copy of Age of Empires III today and join the fray.
EVENT AND TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The tournaments and events will take place from August 5th through August 13th, 2009. N-Gage Players who wish to participate may simply attend one of the six live chat events within the N-Gage community forums. Various awards and prizes will be given away at the end of the event to the overall winners and some for simply attending the fun.
NOTE: We are listing events in Pacific Standard time (N-Gage Server time - San Francisco). If you are not sure what time an event is for your local time, you can use the Time Zone Meeting Planner to determine what time the event will be in your time zone. We don't want you to miss events!
* AUGUST 5TH (Wed.) - Skirmish Tournament (11am Pacific)
* AUGUST 7TH (Friday) - Age of Empires Trivia Tournament (11am Pacific)
* AUGUST 7TH (Friday) - Age of Empires Trivia Tournament (11am Pacific)
* AUGUST 9TH (Sunday) - Skirmish Tournament - (8am Pacific)
* AUGUST 10TH (Monday) - Skirmish Tournament - (10am Pacific)
* AUGUST 12TH (Wed.) - Age of Empires Trivia Tournament - (7am Pacific)
* AUGUST 13TH (Thursday) - After Party Celebration - (11am Pacific)
NOTE: To register for the above Skirmish events, simply show up to the event chat room at the specified start time and tell the moderator you'd like to register to play in the tournament/event. After the first 15mins, registration will close (no new registrations will be accepted after the tournament begins) and the moderator will announce the rules of the days tournament/event.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To participate in any of the three (3) skirmish tournament days, you’ll need a copy of Age of Empires III for the N-Gage platform, a GPRS data service plan with your mobile provider,* and an N-Gage Player Name. Simply attend one of the three tournaments scheduled times and tell the moderator you'd like to register for that day's tournament during the first fifteen minutes of the event. You must be present in the chatroom to register for the event. No late entries will be accepted, please be on time!
To participate in any of the two (2) tournament trivia events you will automatically be registered by showing up to the event. You do not need a copy of Age of Empires III to participate! **

WHAT CAN YOU WIN?
With so many tournaments and events in the series, you know there will be loot to be won. Check out the list of prizes:
The Skirmish Tournaments Prizes:
* 1ST PLACE - They earn an Age of Empires III board game, an Age of Empires III themed zboard, and 1000 N-Gage Points.
* 2ND PLACE - They earn an Age of Empires III strategy guide, an Age of Empires III zboard, and 800 N-Gage points.
* 3RD PLACE - They earn an Age of Empires III themed zboard, and 500 N-Gage points.
* All Participants - All players who enter the tournament will earn 300 N-Gage Points.
The Trivia Tournament Prizes:
* 1ST PLACE - They earn an Age of Empires III themed zboard keyset, and a 1000 N-Gage points.
* TRIVIA POINT PRIZE - Players who win a point(s) during the event shall receive an extra 50 N-Gage Points per point they earned.
* All Participants - All players who attend the trivia tournaments will also earn 150 N-Gage points.
Note: Players who win one of the above prizes will not be eligible to win the same list of prizes again in one of the other tournaments/events in the series.
After Party Event -- Be sure to stop by the after party to earn some extra N-Gage points, hang out with the moderators and tournament winners, play some games, and you might even win a few door prizes.
*A GPRS data service plan is required to access the N-Gage Arena and network features of Age of Empires III. You must ensure that your service provider supports data traffic delivery (GPRS) and that you have subscribed to a GPRS service. Some networks have limitations that may affect your ability to use N-Gage Arena services.
